WordPress updates and maintenance
Plan routine WordPress maintenance with backups, compatibility checks, and a measured verification loop.
Before updates
Review the selected site and environment, note the current version/state, and verify that an appropriate recovery point is available. Check theme, plugin, and integration compatibility. Backups and recovery availability may vary by service.
Apply changes
Make one coherent set of changes at a time and avoid editing production during an active incident. Use the management controls that are actually presented to your account; the public docs do not imply every WordPress operation is enabled.
Verify
Check the site itself and account-visible health indicators after maintenance. If there is an error, record the exact message and changes made, then ask support for help. Do not share administrative passwords or database credentials.
